Cloisonne' Lapel Pins

|
Cloisonne'
pins, also known as hard enamel pins, are the most highly prized pins by collectors.
The recessed color wells are filled by hand with finely ground glass
pigments one color at a time and then fired at 1400 degrees in between
each coloring to a hard, glassy finish. The pin is then ground to remove
excess cloisonne' pigments and polished to create a lustrous sheen.
Colors available are limited to a select group of colors of genuine
cloisonne' glass powders. |
